An MOL for Bergen County?

Okay, so one of our Bergen County foodie pals (Dr. Corporateshill, specifically) needs a bathroom in his lovely split ranch "massively" redone. However, due to more than a modicum of success in his chosen field, the Doc has never needed knowledge of anything remotely resembling a bathroom makeover, leaving him in something of a quandary.

Last night at dinner (at 17 Summer in Lodi) with his spouse Dr. OBwan, my old pal Dr. WhyMe and his better half Dr. Foodnazi, Mrs. Soda and myself, the Doc confessed his plight to me: he had no idea how to pick a GC, let alone the individual tradespersons required for the job. It made me wish there was an MOL up there that I could easily refer him to...

I suggested Angie's List or others of its ilk, or maybe a local FB page as a last resort... (  https://www.facebook.com/groups/558143854373109/  )

Other ideas?

When one of our bathrooms needed total remodeling (including plumbing) our regular plumber gave us the name of a trusted GC.

Not sure why a local FB page would be a "last resort" - people around here give and get many legitimate recommendations on the FB SOMa Lounge site as well as MOL.

Getting to know and talking to one's neighbors also isn't a bad idea.

Neither Dr. Corporateshill, nor Drs. OBwan, WhyMe, or Foodnazi are FB'ers, so I would regard any FB page as a last resort for them. Sorry to have omitted this before.

I did, in fact, suggest potential referral linkages from current or recent contractors, bringing a faint smile of semi-recognition (we were already into the 4th bottle of Radius) to his visage, but then table conversation switched to Drs. WhyMe & Foodnazi's recent trip to Mongolia...

BTW: The brother/sister Owner/Chefs at 17 Summer do great work, and our dinner was nearly flawless, but I did have to ask for extra toast points for my Bison Tartare appetizer.
