Aluminum storm windows- do you paint them when painting house?

I have a 100+ yr old home with old school storms/screens

They are still the aluminum color

Having my house painted and wonder if I should have the storms painted to match or choose paint color in grey to match the aluminum??

What have others done with old school storms?

Do you also plan to paint the frames of the inserts or only the face of the triple track?

open to advice on best approach

we had storms painted same color as trim.

You could use something like white if that's what the rest of the trim will be painted.    Gray would be fine too - depends on the look you are going for.   However,  make sure that the person/company doing the painting does it right.    Old, oxidized aluminum frames really ought to be washed and scrubbed using a scotch-brite pad, then primed with a self-etching aluminum primer.    Then, there's a lot of masking involved.   It's a lot of prep work for old old windows, but if they are basically sound, it might be worth it.
