2024 GQP Presidential Hopefuls - Who's The Trumpiest Of Them All?

I was in one of his casinos back in the day. Maybe that one. Had lunch there. One of the worst meals of my life. Slimy celery. Gristly meat. Disgusting.

I went to the Taj Mahal in 1999. I find casinos boring, so I hung at the bar. The beer was cheap.

Nikki Haley is trying to play the anti-cancel-culture/overt-patriotism party line, while not caring if her tweets are not the most accurate. Seems very GOP:

trolling the libs.

 Is she that smart?

Is anyone really that dumb? Her claim is absurd on its face, even if you knew nothing about George Washington.

Washington is an example of somebody who’s done an amazing job and is getting recognized more and more, I notice.

Has anyone mentioned DeSantis yet? I think he's got the best shot at the moment, if Trump doesn't run.

Well, his vaccinations-for-the-wealthy might help with his fundraising efforts:

(ETA: DB -- Your 'best shot' comment appears to have been an accidentally prescient pun...)

He would have had more recognition if he had named his home after himself.

Will Ted Cruz's Cancun adventure doom his presidential ambitions?

(allowing for the fact that he had zero chance anyway)

Ivanka not running for senate.

On another note, AOC raised over one million dollars last night for Texas. So the republicans asking what difference it makes if Cruz is cruising in Cancun...

He was there to negotiate the payment for the wall.

Checking in on a GQP hopeful -

Jeez, just like a Shonda Rimes t.v. show except for the real world consequences.

If Shonda Rimes took on the new season of Fargo.

Full disclosure I couldn't bear reading the entire article, but as painful as the topic is I'd like an A- for participation.

Donald will not like that at all if that keeps up. There can only be one star, Donald.

So what will he do? Attack DeSantis as a secret liberal? A closet commie? Who knows.

But attacking DeSantis is a risk. He needs DeSantis to block his possible criminal extradition to NY.

Do you mean that last sentence - that DeSantis will break the law to protect Trump?

Why would the law be broken? Does not the state have the right to deny an extradition request?

I don't believe so.

Article IV of the U.S. Constitution:

A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on Demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime.

I didn't know that. Shows how well I know the constitution.

But did Trump flee? I can see him being in NY and charged, then fleeing and then pulled back per 5th Amendment. But he's residing in FL, not having fled. How will the courts interpret that?

These days we can't assume anything. Look at how the 2nd Amendment has been reinterpreted. Very conservative SC Chief Justice Burger said guns should be highly regulated yet the NRA managed to get that reinterpreted.
