Pumpkin Patch at Wyoming Presbyterian Church

Event Date: October 12th, 2012 at 11:30am - 5:30pm
Address : 432 Wyoming Avenue
Town : Millburn
Information:

It’s Pumpkin Patch time again at the Wyoming Presbyterian Church. Saturday, October 6, at 9 a.m. volunteers will unload a tractor-trailer load of pumpkins onto the front lawn, transforming it almost magically into Millburn’s very own suburban pumpkin patch. Drop by rain or shine to pick out all of your Halloween pumpkins, gourds, and decorative corn. Open daily through Halloween, weekdays, 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.—5:30; and Sunday Noon—5:30 p.m. The proceeds from the 2012 PumpkinPatch will go to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. But wait! There’s more: PumpkinPatch USA leases their fields from the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico, thereby providing revenue to the tribe. The patch hires local residents to work, thereby creating jobs. The supplier ships us the pumpkins on faith, without and charge. We are on our honor to accurately report sales figures and pay them on a sliding scale of the gross intake. Then ALL of our proceeds go to support volunteer outreach programs. The process is \"feel-good\" at all levels.
