Free Piano Recital Will Feature College Scholarship Winner

A free piano recital will be presented Saturday, February 24th at 4:00pm at Christ Church Short Hills. Works by Bach, Beethoven and others will be performed by the winner of the Pearl L. Harrison Fine Arts Scholarship Award, a scholarship that recognizes exemplary musical and academic achievements by a current college student pursing a degree in music. The scholarship winner will be announced just prior to the recital. The Pearl L. Harrison Fine Arts Scholarship Award was established in honor of Ms. Pearl L. Harrison, a New Jersey cultural Icon of her time who taught classical piano from 1950 until the mid-1980’s, and who served under four mayors of East Orange in the areas of arts and cultural affairs.
