How to Volunteer with Your Kids

All parents want to raise children who care about and help other people, but they often struggle to find effective ways for kids and teens to participate in activities that give them hands-on experience with community service - and getting them to volunteer enthusiastically and without twisting any arms can feel nearly impossible. That's why we've developed this workshop for parents: because with these helpful tips and tools, getting your kids engaged in volunteerism doesn't have to be a struggle! At the "How to Volunteer with Your Kids" workshop, parents will learn how to: -Identify the most effective and engaging opportunities for their children to help others -Excite their kids about serving their community -Guide their children to start taking their own initiative to volunteer -Enhance each service activity by engaging kids in appropriate discussions and asking the right questions This workshop is free to attend, and will be held on Sunday, October 16 at 12pm at Community Congregational Church.
